Preliminary results are in from the Clay County Board of Election Commissioners.
Kevin Corlew is the newly elected board member for the one-year-term on the North Kansas City School District Board of Education. He narrowly defeated incumbent Dixie Youngers, who had key endorsements from the Missouri National Education Association and the Kansas City Star. Corlew had more signs and the money to fund robocalls from Washington D.C. the evening before the election.
Incumbents Terry Stone and Terrence R. Ward ran without opposition to retain their seats on the board.
