Platte School District’s Board of Education met Thursday evening, Feb. 28. From a policy standpoint, the highlights of their agenda were:
- A report on how salaries in Platte County compare with those in other comparable area districts
- Voted unanimously to approve a “Forced Ranking Score Sheet Summary” for district administrators to use as a budget development tool. These guidelines prescribe cost savings through actions such as suspending summer painting, reducing field trips and eliminating activity buses.
- Voted unanimously to participate in the Northland Advanced Career Studies program
- A legislative update.
