Kansas City, Missouri School District’s Board of Education met Wednesday evening, Feb. 27. From a policy standpoint, the highlight of their agenda was a unanimous vote approving changes to district policies governing “Policy Compliance.”

The KC Education Enterprise has a new sister site, KC Education Research Updates, with occasional news from researchers and neuroscientists of interest to educators.
It means that in spite of the district being unaccredited, perhaps being taken over by the state, scores stagnating and even declining because of long-term subs, the board is still working on their own policies!
One of a school board’s fundamental responsibilities is to set policies for the district.
