This just in from the Missouri State Department of Education:
“The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has been engaged in a process of revising the Missouri Early Learning Standards (MELS). This includes revisions to the existing standards for children ages three to kindergarten entry and expanding the standards for children birth to age three. Along with these revisions, the Department will be aligning the standards to the Missouri Learning Standards.
“At this time, DESE is requesting comments on these revisions. .. .All comments should be sent to joanne.ralston@dese.mo.gov for consideration as we move forward with this important work. These comments must be received no later than February 28, 2013.”
