Piper School District’s Board of Education met Monday evening, Jan. 14. From a policy standpoint, the highlights of their agenda were:
- An enrollment report, which is important, because state funding is based on district enrollment.
- A report on what the recent Kansas state court ruling on school finance means for district funding.
- A proposed resolution intended to authorize the refinancing of existing school bond debt in order to save money for the district.
