Basehor-Linwood School District’s Board of Education will meet Monday, June 11, at 6 p.m.
In addition to routine agenda items — such as considering a food service program agreement and setting student fees for next year — board members will consider revising the district’s Teacher Licensure policy. Superintendent David Howard is recommending the board approve a new section of the policy that would require the renewal of teaching licenses before they expire. Each teacher who does not renew a license in a timely manner would receive a suspension without pay until the renewal application is on file with the Kansas State Department of Education.
The Board of Education meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the Lou Haney Board of Education Room in the district offices; 2008 N. 155th St.; Basehor, KS 66007. Next month’s meeting will take place Monday, July 9.
