Grandview School District’s Board of Education will meet Thursday, May 17, at 6:30 p.m.

In addition to routine items on the agenda — such as appointing representatives to Jackson County’s Board of Equalization and finalizing next year’s bus routes — board members will oversee projects funded by the sale of school bonds approved by voters last year.

Bond projects under consideration this evening include:

  • A change order for replacing and resurfacing pavement at Meadowmere Elementary and Martin City K-8 Schools
  • A change order for renovating synthetic turf; and
  • Softball field renovations, including lighting, fencing and dugouts.

Other business tonight includes possible approval of an agreement with the City of Grandview to assign police officers to schools and the annual re-adoption of the board’s code of ethics policy.

Tonight’s meeting, which is open to the public, will take place at the Board of Education Offices; 13015 10th St.; Grandview, MO 64030. The next regular open meeting will take place Thursday, June 28.
