Platte County R-3 School District’s Board of Education will meet Thursday, April 19, at 6:30 p.m.
In addition to routine items on the agenda, such as hearing about academic improvement plans at several schools and receiving a legislative update, board members will oversee an annual review of district policies.
Each year, the Missouri School Boards Association provides members with a list of policies that may need updating due to changes in state and federal law. Tomorrow night, Superintendent Mike Reik will report to the board that his staff has been working on these revisions since the middle of March, and he expects to present the revised policies to the board for approval next month.
The board meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the Education Center Board Room, 998 Platte Falls Road, Platte City, MO 64079. On Thursday, May 17, the board’s next meeting will take place.
