In addition to routine items on the agenda, such as approving construction change orders and proclaiming April to be School Library Media Month, board members have a full schedule.
Last month, board members decided the sale of bonds approved by voters earlier this year would take place in April. Tonight, the board’s agenda includes a resolution authorizing the sale of these bonds. District administrators plan to use proceeds from the bond sales to fund an early childhood education center, improvements in existing school buildings, a professional development center and technology upgrades.
The Board of Education meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the District Office Board Room; 15020 Metcalf Ave.; Overland Park, KS 66283.
