Casey Beane has withdrawn from consideration for the Park Hill Board of Education in the April election.

“A few weeks ago, my wife and I found out we were having another baby and it pretty much changed everything for me,” Beane said. “With two boys already — and another on the way — I just wouldn’t have the time to give to both my family and the district.  I feel like I would have been short-changing one or the other, so I had to do what was best for my family.  I may run again some day, but now just ended up not being the right time for us.”

His resignation leaves four candidates in the running for two open seats on the Board of Education in the Park Hill School District.

The four remaining candidates are Fred J. Sanchez, Chris Seufert, Edward Stephens and Allison Wurst.

Election day is April 3.
