The North Kansas City School District’s PTA Council will host a School Board Candidate Forum Thursday, March 22, at 7 p.m.
Those attending the event will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the campaigns of five candidates who have filed for three positions on the Board of Education.
Vying for the three positions are incumbents Melissa Roberts and Dixie Youngers as well as Aleasie “Lisa” Branch, Jeffrey “Chip” Luerding and Jay Wilson.
The KC Education Enterprise has asked all five to answer 10 questions that may help voters decide how to cast their ballots. With a little less than two weeks until the election, so far all but Branch have responded.
No one has completed the Kansas City Star‘s survey on its Midwest Democracy Project site.
Voters will decide among these candidates in the election on Tuesday, April 3.
The PTA candidate forum will take place in the Media Center of Northview Elementary School; 9201 N. Indiana Ave.; Kansas City, MO 64156.
