Raytown School District’s Board of Education will meet Monday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m.
In addition to routine items on the agenda, such as accepting a gift of equipment for use by career and technology education programs and requesting bids on refinishing bleachers, board members have a full agenda.
From an education policy standpoint, the most significant item on the agenda is the revision of district policies. Three policies under consideration will be those relating to Professional Staff Salary Schedules, Professional Staff Short-Term Leaves and Absences and Support Staff Leaves and Absences.
Board members will also hear a legislative update. Missouri’s General Assembly is currently on spring break but will return to session next week. Under consideration are a number of education-related bills, including some that could change how the state finances public education and regulations regarding student transfers from unaccredited districts.
The Board of Education meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the district’s Administration Building; 6608 Raytown Road; Raytown, MO 641133.
