The Basehor-Linwood School District’s Board of Education will meet Monday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m.
In addition to routine items on the agenda, such as approving the payment of bills and hearing a treasurer’s report, board members have a full schedule.
First, members plan to discuss the vacancy created by Wynne Coleman’s resignation. They accepted letters of interest last month and said they planned to name the new member in February, which means that announcement may be forthcoming tonight.
Also, board members plan to discuss refinancing school bonds in order to take advantage of more favorable interest rates and save money for the district.
Other agenda items include hearing a presentation from a food service company, audit and enrollment reports and an update on construction of the secondary softball field and concession stand.
The Board of Education meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the district’s Lou Haney Board of Education Room in the district offices; 2008 N. 155th St.; Basehor, KS 66007.
