Today is the last day of voter registration for residents of two area districts who would like to cast ballots on school bond issues.
Gardner Edgerton is proposing $72 million in bond sales to fund the building of new schools and a high school athletics addition in addition to funding improvements to already-existing buildings, land acquisition, technology updates.
Voters will cast mail-in ballots on both issues beginning tomorrow, Jan. 11. The voting deadline is Tuesday, Jan. 31. Anyone registering after January 1 must apply in writing at the Johnson County Election Commissioner’s office in order to receive a ballot.
