The Fort Osage School District’s Board of Education will meet Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 6 p.m.
In addition to other routine items on the agenda, board members will hear an update on district bond projects from John Ruddy, Assistant Superintendent of Support Services. In addition, they will hear the first reading of a proposed new school board policy on the topic of parent and family involvement in education. The board also will hear a report from Superintendent Mark Enderle.
Enderle’s report will cover a range of topics. He will provide a mid-year budget update and a legislative update. He will discuss transfer students and the status of the state’s request for a waiver of the requirements of the federal No Child Left Behind Act. Also, he will discuss social media policy and provide an update on candidates filing for vacancies on the district’s school board.
The Fort Osage Board of Education meeting, which is open to the public, will take place at the Gragg Administrative Office; 2101 N. Twyman Road; Independence, MO 64058.
