The Basehor-Linwood School District’s Board of Education will meet Monday, Jan. 9, at 6 p.m.
Four action items are on the agenda. The board will be considering a request from the Basehor-Linwood Historical Society, building-level administrative contract renewals as well as other contracts and resignations.
In addition, the board will be considering an additional Schools for Fair Funding assessment. Schools for Fair Funding is a coalition of districts suing the state, alleging that Kansas public school funding levels are unconstitutional, because they are inadequate to provide a suitable education for all students.
Also on the agenda is discussion of the board vacancy created when Wynne Coleman moved to New Mexico. Last month, the board decided to post the vacancy after winter break and interview candidates in February.
The Board of Education meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the district’s Lou Haney Board of Education Room.
