KS Special Commission Recommends Changes to Pension Plan for Teachers

This week, a study commission appointed by the state legislature decided to recommend changes to the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS). Concerns are that because state revenues are declining, taxpayers will not be able to afford the system as it is currently structured. Teachers, legislators and other public workers are members of KPERS.
