A citizen watchdog group, Do the Right Thing for Kids, has released its report card assessing the performance of the Kansas City, Missouri School Board’s performance during its Wednesday, Sept. 28, meeting.

The citizens’ summary of the board’s performance?:

This district just lost accreditation and the board was mired in internal politics and business as usual. What is it going to do to regain accreditation?

Although the watchdog group tries to publish a report card each month, they decided not to issue one for the August 24 board meeting. Former superintendent John Covington surprised the board with his resignation that month, and Do the Right Thing for Kids did not think it was a representative meeting.
